Scottish 6 Days - Your Club Needs YOU!
Lonely 6 Day organiser seeks Team Leads for LTR in support of S6D. Male or female. Must be
organised, GSOH, and a little bossy. Interests: outdoor activities, logistics. Only serious applicants please!
Interlopers are joint organisers of Day 2 of the
six day (w/c 28 July). Having mis-heard Ken's question at the club Halloween
party, I am now the lead Organiser!
There are some key roles to be filled over the
next few weeks if possible. We need 5 Team Leads covering - Parking & Road
Marshalling; Assembly; Starts; String Course; Hit Squad (my Aide De Camp).
Remember, with power comes responsibility. In due course we will need volunteers
to staff these areas, with shift coverage to allow folks to get a run. The total
requirement is for only 88 volunteers for that day, so get your task bids in
early....
The area is Carse of Ardersier, NE of Inverness
(map on the S6D site). We are fortunate in that there are 2 combined starts,
both with road access close-by. I have started to plan out some of the
organising activities and I have an initial site visit on 5 Jan with the
planners, controllers and S6D co-ordinators. Shortly thereafter the new team
leads will be hopefully be engaged.
So, if you fancy one of the team lead roles give
me a shout....first come first served! We are sharing organising duties with
BASOC and will be casting our nets in that direction also. Ken is currently
providing assistant organiser support .
