By train: there are half-hourly services from Edinburgh and Glasgow to Livingston North, from which assembly is approx 600m. Please check the timetable before travelling, and beware of any strike action.

By bus: Livingston is well served by buses - see

By car: from the M8 come off at J3 to Livingston. Drive down the A899 south. Take the first exit, and turn right under the A899 heading east (Houstoun Road). At the Eliburn North roundabout head right towards the station, Knightsridge West and Deans. At the next roundabout go straight over, then right at the second roundabout and the entrance to the school is on your left.

Planned to Sports Governing Body standards by Max Carcas, and controlled by Ian Pyrah (ESOC).

Maps will be printed on waterproof paper. Scale TBC.

Like many parts of Livingston, the area is perfect for urban orienteering, with plenty of pedestrian cut-throughs and housing estates with repeating patterns of housing and some excellent potential for route choice on longer legs. The area was last used for a SOUL back in 2017 - see Routegadget.

Course lengths are given below and represent optimal distance. For those not wishing to run the course specific to their age category there will be Open versions of courses 2-7 as well as age-category ones.
